A mere twenty barrels, meticulously selected by the Driftless Glen distillers, contribute to the creation of this straight rye whiskey, crafted with a high rye mash bill to preserve the grain's distinctive spice. The addition of pure Wisconsin water certainly enhances the experience. The aroma offers peppery, minty, and slightly citrusy notes, enriched by chewy, spicy caramel undertones. On the palate, you will discover substantial layers of luxurious chocolate, infused with ginger, toffee, and a hint of peppermint, harmonising with the vigorous rye spice. The finish is pleasantly elongated, as these notes gracefully fade away.
